Scott has over 13 years of experience in the Employee Benefits marketplace. Scott came to Eastern Benefits when his firm, Hokanson Insurance Agency was acquired in 2007. Prior to the acquisition, Hokanson Insurance was listed on the Boston Business Journals’ prestigious Top 25 Benefits Firms List each of the past five years.

Scott is the only Massachusetts insurance professional to receive the National Association of Health Underwriters highest honor, the Golden Eagle Award, each year for the past five years. Scott is recognized locally by being listed as one of the few brokers to sit on the Blue Cross, Tufts and MA Connector broker advisory counsels. Scott’s speaking engagements on Massachusetts Health Reform have been attended by hundreds of Massachusetts businesses, hundreds of respected insurance brokers nationwide and a number of members of the United States House and Senate.

Scott is a lifelong South Shore resident and a 1994 graduate of Marquette University. He lives in Plymouth Massachusetts with his wife and three children (fourth on the way) where he is active in his local church and school communities. Scott is very involved with the Smaller Business Association of New England, a member of NEEBC, MassAHU and American MENSA and he is currently enrolled in the Registered Health Underwriter program.
