Darren joined Eastern Benefits Group in 2002, then Harbour Benefits, as a member of our group benefits practice. He brings to us particular strength in all areas of group health and welfare programs with keen interest in self-funded programs, consumer-driven health plans, and alternative funding methods.

In 2006 Darren took on a lead role in analyzing the impact of the Massachusetts Healthcare Reform Act on our client organizations. He is our internal expert on the legislation for Eastern Benefits Group and advises many of our clients in this regard. During 2006 and 2007 Darren conducted numerous seminars and discussions on the legislation for business and community leaders throughout Massachusetts.

Prior to joining our team, Darren worked as a Senior Consultant with a Boston-area Human Resources services firm. He also held the Director of Sales position with a Jewelry Manufacturer in the Providence area for many years.

Darren currently sits on the Broker Advisory Board for Fallon Community Health Plan. He is also active with the New England Employee Benefits Council, North Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Salem Chamber of Commerce. As a personal commitment he also serves on the Board of Directors for The Plummer Home for Boys.

Darren is a graduate of Widener University and holds his Bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics. He is also actively pursuing his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation. Darren resides in Salem, Massachusetts with his wife and twin daughters.
