Brian Charon
Vice President, Sales Executive

With over 12 year’s of experience, Brian Charon has an extensive knowledge of the employee benefit planning, administration and funding. As a Vice President, Brian is responsible developing new business relationships and maintaining a large existing client base. Prior to joining Eastern Benefits Group, Brian was a partner at Hokanson Insurance Agency which was well recognized as of the fastest growing agencies in Massachusetts.

Effective October 1, 2007, Hokanson Insurance Agency was acquired by Eastern Bank and its subsidiary Eastern Insurance Group. Brian’s involvement has been integral to the successful transition from Hokanson Insurance to Eastern Benefits Group.

Brian began his career as a broker representative for Employee Benefit Administrators, a third party administrator of partially self funded health and dental plans. His background in self funding has provided his clients with an invaluable level of expertise. During this time, Brian was also involved in successfully launching the Colonial Benefit Plan which was one of the area’s last Multiple Employer Trusts.

As a managing partner at Hokanson Insurance, Brian was responsible for leading the organization in sales and helped Hokanson Insurance to grow in sales by 1000% over a 5 year period.

Brian’s clients benefit from his attention to detail, product knowledge and his negotiating expertise. Brian holds his Bachelor of Arts from Providence College and is presently working toward his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation. He is involved in a number of volunteer organizations. Brian resides in Marshfield, MA with his wife Melissa.
